Monday, November 7th

General:

1. Remembrance Day Assembly on Thursday at 10:20 am.
2. No School Friday.
3. Picture Retakes on Monday, November 14th.

Math:

1. Students wrote their Input/Output quiz today.  They were provided 1.5 hours.

Science:

1. Most students have started putting together their Leaf project.  Many students are using their own format (e.g. Prezi, photo album, binder) and some have asked for a teacher made template to organize their work.

Language Arts:

1. We started a song analysis on Friday.  In the song "Happy" Pharrell Williams, we noticed different literary devices, such as, similes, metaphors, rhyming schemes and personification.  Our goal is to do a song analysis every Friday so that we can see literary devices in our everyday lives.
2. Students continued writing their narrative story.  They should be working and finishing up their rising actions.  We continue to encourage our students to full describe their scenes rather than summarizing.

Social:

1. Students will receive 30 minutes to putting finishing touches on their Regions of Alberta presentations.  The first set of presentations will begin tomorrow.
