Today we were introduced to our new Patterns and Equations unit in math.  We explored what Palindromes are, and how to recognize basic increasing patterns using addition and multiplication.  Palindrome is a word or phrase or number that is the same backwards and frontwards I.E. kayak, 3663. We will be exploring patterns first through input/output, listing the pattern and the relationship between the input and output numbers.

In science we continued our Forest and Trees unit by exploring the topic of ecosystems.  We started to examine what makes up an ecosystem and how each variable in the system depends on another. Thus, if we remove a key aspect of an ecosystem it could have disastrous consequences for the system.

In LA we have been working on exciting introductions to short stories.  We have been practicing various introductions using dialogue, thoughts, actions and sounds.

In the afternoon we had DEAR time, gym, pictures, free writing and sharing, and music.

In health we continued our exploration of multiple intelligences and learning more about how we learn.

We hope everyone has a tubular Tuesday!
