-Tree types, berries, plants, unique to the region,
interesting facts
-What is the vegetation of the region?
Animals
-Unique to the region, fish, mammals, insects, birds
-Why do those animals live in that region?
Natural Resources
-How does your region make money?
-How does it use the land to make money?
-What products are produced in your region?
-What resources naturally occur in your area and what do we
as society do with them?
Tourism
-Are there any elements of tourism in your region? What are
they? Are they seasonal? Why?
-Most popular tourist destination
-Protected land?
-Provincial/National parks?
Mapping
-Your region on a map of Alberta
-Two types of maps at least of the region: Satellite,
Road/Street, Topographical, Population location, Precipitation, Elevation,

-You could use several different kinds of maps during this
project, I.E. Animal population / location

-Are humans doing anything wrong to the environment in your
region?
-Are their endangered species? Why are they endangered?
