In the morning today we worked on our social project: Regions of Alberta before the evacuation.
The students were excellent during the emergency evacuation practice to another school.
After we had time to work on our health project when they returned.
During LA we focused on peer assessment and editing our rough copies before beginning final copies of the setting riddle. Student had to have their work peer-edited, then make the changes, then edited again, make any further changes, and edited one final time before starting their final copy.
In the afternoon we started our genius hour. Students had to create a 16-day plan involving research, creation, and presentation, and peer assessing. They also had to come up with the topic they're going to research that they're curious or passionate about. We had a few technological hiccups with the wi-fi so today will not count as one of their 16-days.
