Mini Science Research Project

Sky Science - Research Information Sheet

Over your break you are encouraged to learn about a topic that is interesting to you but not necessarily in the curriculum.

You are welcome to work alone or with someone (max 3).

You will need to stick to this criteria:

1. Explain WHAT it is you are researching
2. Explain WHY it is important to share this information (maybe to you, maybe to society generally – this is more important)
3. Point out 2-3 interesting facts
4. You ONLY have 3-4 minutes to share with the class - SO practice and be succinct.

Yes this is part of your report card, everything is! =) It demonstrates your learning of science concepts, your ability to inquire, present, and learn outside of school independently.

Ways to present:
Think of those multiple intelligences….
-visually (slides)
-interesting speech with pictures

If you are collaborating with someone, it is suggested to use Google Docs or Slides so you can work on it together from your own home.

Please have this done for the first day after the break. We will begin our presentations on April 3 and do a few a day until we are done. Have fun learning!
