Wednesday, March 15th

Good evening all,

Today was a fairly intense math day.
Students needed a lot of review on multiplication of multi-digit numbers. After working with the area and perimeter of rectangles and other polygons, we soon realized that there was a lot of review work on multiplication that was required in order to put this other work into context.

Below are the 3 review videos:

As well, there is extra math support offered at lunch hour and recess (when Mrs. Harris and Mr. Shackleton aren't on supervision - just make sure you tell your lunch supervisor).

Social Studies was also pretty heavy with discussion revolving around the federal government and how it compares to provincial and municipal.

We then completed the morning off on a lighter note with all students writing out their best Haiku poems for a group poster.

For this Friday:
There is a spelling test
A math quiz on area and perimeter (using multi-digit numbers with decimals)
Hand in Jump Rope for Heart money and forms
An assembly at 8:15 am
Early dismissal at 11:00 am
Book orders due

Upcoming:
SURPRISE!! Interesting planetarium visit on Monday in the Learning Commons
March 22 - School Clothing orders due
