Reminder, there is early dismissal tomorrow after our Pillars of Care Assembly which is at 8:15am.
Today was a bit of a different day. We began the day by working on our Sky Science watercolor art pieces. The art is looking fabulous so please be sure to check them out in the classroom when you visit us next Thursday for Math night!
That's right! Thursday night is the school's math night to showcase the work all students did with resident artist Jen Stables. There will be more information coming out on this as soon as the details are ironed out. Some of our Marvelous Mavericks have volunteered for this evening to sell popcorn so ask your child about this.
Following science / art, the grade 6 students all looked into ancient Athenian society and learned about their scientific and mathematical contributions to Western society.
The afternoon consisted of some down time reading, physical fitness in the gym, science presentations as well as music/band for all!
There is no official homework tonight, but students are more than welcome to come prepared to begin their Poetry Anthologies or continue with their Genius Hour work. Depending on the flow of the day tomorrow, one of those two things will be tackled tomorrow.

Mavericks will be selling them Monday, Thursday, and Friday at lunch in Room 14!
Mr. Shackelton will be selling them every morning recess, and TUES/WEDS 11:30-11:40am before supervision duty.
The Mavericks are fundraising for the school, WE Day, and local women crisis shelters.
