WELCOME BACK! My how we missed all of you!
Reminders
1. SJAM open house April 10th (see previous post for more details) - We are visiting them as a class near the end of May.
2. Science projects - presentations to start this week, make sure you are done!
3. Social Unit Test Monday April 10th - Test review on Friday and will be posted to the blog as well
4. LA - due tomorrow - 1 bio poem about you
5. Spelling sentences due Thursday
6. Spelling test Friday
Today we started off catching up on unfinished math work from our perimeter, area, and volume unit. We also worked on our word problem skills, and multistep problems.
In social we started our new unit about ancient Athens. We started with exploring the roles of men, women, children, metics, citizens and slaves in their society.
In sky science we organized projects, and when people would present. As well as continued our exploration of the sky above.
During LA we learning about the 11-line bio poem. We took down the format, some tips and got to work. The task was to create one about you, one about a friend via interview, and one about a family member that you can share to at home this week.
In the afternoon we caught up on reading our favourite books, gym and music. We also learned our new spelling words and started working on creating sentences for them.
We hope everyone has a Metallica Monday.
