In Social Studies the students finished working in groups discussing the decision-making process and how decisions can and should be made so that everyone can have a voice.
Our time in Math was spent converting mixed fractions to improper fractions and vice versa. As the students are aware, the focus is on SHOWING YOUR THINKING in MULTIPLE WAYS. This includes through number, words and pictures. As we progress along, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding by communicating in a variety of ways even if they "get the answer".
News article writing is well underway. Today students had a chance to start an article based off of a fairy-tale. We will be continuing this work tomorrow.
