Situation
Pretend that your name is Kelly Brown and you are a
student at Dino Elementary School. You
are also a reporter for your school newspaper.
Your class received the following invitation to attend a charity
event. You and your parents decide to
visit the event and you will report back to your classmates.

To an event sponsored by the Dino Elementary School to raise funds for their Students’ Union.
Dino School’s
Got Talent
Students from
Dino Elementary will share their talents with the school and community, in
hopes of raising money for the students of their school. All proceeds will go directly to the
students of the school.
Entry into this
event is $2 per person or $5 per family.
Donations to the local food bank will give you an entry into the door
prize draw.

Interesting Facts

students in grade K – 8 were eligible to enter.

created and practiced on their own time.

acts included: singing, guitar playing, air-bands, lightshows and dancing.

Participants
ranged from individual performances to small groups to whole classes.

All participants
received a package of starbursts
·
The
winners received a bundle of helium balloons to proudly display in their
classroom.

James Allison, won the family movie package.
Donations/ Money Raised

raised $300.
· They
intend on taking the entire school bowling and to a movie, in May.
· The
collection of food bank items, stocked the shelves for the forgotten lunch
program.
