Today in math we took up this week's homework as a class. We discovered 6 helpful strategies for adding and subtracting and multistep problems. Next week we will making a strategy guide for math and add to it all year.
We continued working on our figurative language posters. Already the terms are helping students be more descriptive and creative in their writing!
Next, we started our fingerprint poetry. It was a real eyeopener for some to be given a rubric and expectations for their first assignment of the year. This is only in the brainstorm and drafting stage, no homework yet for it.
