Eeeeks.....late post! Better late than never?

So tomorrow is the grade 6 farewell assembly at 1:00pm! There was a bit of confusion between the office and us but as it stands and as mentioned in the school calendar, it is indeed at 1pm.

Students have been talked to about what the day will look like and that they are to be at school no later than 12:40pm after lunch because the grade 6 students will be the last to enter the gym.

We hope to see you all there.

Reminder that Wednesday is the last day of school and dismissal is at 11:00 am.

Great job on the science exams grade 6s!!

Thank you to those who put the hard time in and studied this week, last week, and earlier --- keep those habits up throughout your new school year!

Next Wednesday is a half day, and the grade 6 farewell is Tuesday at 1pm.

Homework: finish your genius hour projects and share them with your teacher! Presentations will start Monday and Tuesday next week.

Great job on the Social exam!

Overall, the grade 6s did pretty great!

How to study tonight:

1-read your notes

2-practice on Quest A+

3-try the jeopardy games we did in class (simply google - "Evidence and Investigation Jeopardy")

On the weekend....try and finish off your Genius Hour project so we can share it on Monday and Tuesday. Also, see the other post regarding the Farewell Assembly. If you have a part, Mrs. Harris will provide you with the scripts, etc. for weekend practice.

Last day is a 1/2 day on Wednesday, June 28th with early dismissal at 11 am.
There will be an assembly that day as well.

Grade 6 Farewell Assembly Update

Hi all,

As many of you are aware, there is a grade 6 farewell assembly on June 27th at 1:30 pm. The morning is a regular day for learning as we have Genius Hour presentations in class.

The students normally have lunch at 11:30 am. At this time your children might need to be picked up by you if they are wanting to get ready for the assembly. If you have made arrangements to do something, this is the time for pick-up.

The requirement is that students are back at school at 12:40pm at the latest as the assmebly is at 1:00 pm.

Thank to all of the students and parents that helped us to celebrate the final Pillars of Care Assembly of the year!

Tomorrow there are NO EXAMS!

We will be learning about Aboriginal Day, watching The Giver and reviewing for Social Studies.

If you would like to know your PAT marks for LA and Math, please ask your teacher. Otherwise, a notice will be sent home with report cards.

Today we worked on our final exam preparation by trying out a previous LA part PAT.  

After we had recess, performed for the volunteer tea, the new song Arabian Nights was a success!

We recommend that you review your soc/sci notes daily for 30mins, practice on mathletics / textbook work, and read the blog for all the tips, tricks, and notes.

We hope everyone has a fun-filled Friday full of studying!

We started this exam today in class. Some students did not finish, and we did not have enough time to provide feedback on all the questions / give all the answers out.  So here is the exam to help people finish, and/or mark their own exam to see how they did!
